Savannah Brockhill, 28, was sentenced to prison for life last year for murdering Star. She is jailed at HMP Styal, in Cheshire, Brockhill, where she has also joked with other inmates about killing other children, it has been claimed.
Star was only 16 months old when Brockhill killed her at her home.
Former inmate Amy Louise Cowan, who was freed on licence this week, said she overheard Brockhill joking that she did not cry after the Star was murdered and also about killing three other kids on New Year’s Day, Sunday People reports.
She said she was cleaning the wing of the prison where Brockhill is being kept when she heard the shocking words.
Amy claimed: “Savannah is cold and callous. I never once saw her cry.”
The 29-year-old woman, who was jailed for 18 months last April for theft and threatening a person with a sharp or bladed article, added: “She said she was sick of inmates kicking down her door and spitting in her food and that she didn’t care any more.”
Cowan also said Brockhill was left angry by the sentence handed to Frankie Smith, Star’s mother, saying “it’s not right”.
During Brockhill’s trial, Bradford Crown Court heard details of the horrible injuries inflicted upon Star and how she suffered at her hands and those of Smith.
The court heard Star was “punched, stamped on, or kicked” in the stomach by stepmother Brockhill while mother Smith went to the bathroom in September 2021.

She said she was cleaning the wing of the prison where Brockhill is being kept when she heard the shocking words.
It left the child with a ruptured vein that led to bleeding in her abdominal cavity.
Cowan told Sunday People Brockill was known to some days refer to the girl as “my girl” and to say she missed her all the time. However, on other days she would blame the girl for causing trouble with Smith.
Amy said: “She would say things like, ‘I miss my girl, I did everything for her’, and that she would never intentionally hurt her.
“Then at other times she would say that she had been jealous of Star, and blamed her for causing trouble between her and Frankie.”
Smith, who is understood to be serving her time in a single cell alongside “lifers” at the closed category prison in West Yorkshire after being convicted of causing or allowing the toddler’s death, has been described as a “marked woman”.
A source told The Sun Online: “She’s a marked woman and it won’t be long before someone gets to her.
“She’s on the lifers’ wing so there are plenty of women with very little to lose who will attack her for the price of a few bars of chocolate or some toiletries.”
Amy said she got to know Brockhill well in jail, and that her arrival caused commotion.
She claimed: “We spent pretty much every day for months in the gym, playing badminton and working out together.
“When she got in to the wing I never heard the jail as loud in all my life.
“They were kicking at her door and spitting in her food and in the end she went on a hunger strike and got moved to the segregation unit for her safety.
“I said to her we couldn’t ever be friends, but she still trusted me.”
