Woman FACETIMED Hitman as He Butchered Her Ex Lover and Family
A 29-year-old Texas woman has been slapped with three capital murder charges for ordering, then watching the attempted executions of her ex-girlfriend and her family live on FaceTime.
Court documents say Alexus Williams hired her friend Xavier Davis to kill Donyavia Lagway and her family, and even watched live on FaceTime as Davis carried out the crime. Tragically, Lagway, her husband, and their six-year-old daughter all died.
Making matters worse, it is reported that Lagway was pregnant with her fifth child at the time of the shooting, in June 2021. Police say Williams and Lagway were involved in an extramarital affair, but Lagway decided to end things and return to her husband.
Just a week later, she was brutally killed as a scorned Williams watched on. Lagway’s 11-year-old daughter was also hit in the attack but survived by pretending to be dead until Davis left.
Despite being gravely injured, the girl was able to care for her 1-year-old brother and call her grandmother for help. The two children are now in the care of their grandmother, while the 11-year-old has undergone multiple surgeries since the shooting. Lagway also had an eight-year-old son, who survived because he was not at home at the time of the attack.
Who is Alexus Williams?
No information for Williams is available beyond her arrest, so we could not find out more about her. She doesn’t appear to have any active social media accounts, nor does she seem to have a past criminal record.
She was arrested on March 3, 2022, on three counts of capital murder, and one count of aggravated assault. The 28-year-old Davis was arrested back in July 2021 on unrelated charges but was then linked to the murder of Lagway and her family.
The Houston Police Department said that Williams and Davis had been friends since childhood, which is possibly why she turned to him for help committing the crime.
Prosecutors say Williams told Davis Lagway’s house had thousands of dollars, and he could keep all the cash he found. “It was simply greed for Xavier Davis,” Sean Teare, chief of the Vehicular Crime’s Unit told Click2Houston.
For Williams though, it was far more personal. Reportedly, she was involved in an affair with Lagway for an unspecified amount of time, which ended just a week before the shooting. That led Williams to hire Davis, who killed Lagway, her husband Gregory Carhee, and the couple’s daughter Harmony.
“He was on Facetime with Alexus Williams. That means she watched either the executions or the immediate aftermath of that family being wiped out,” Teare noted. Prosecutors also found text messages between Williams and Davis, confirming their cooperation in the hit.
Davis was charged with the same four charges as Williams and is currently being held without bond. Following Williams’ arrest, a judge ruled she too would be held without bond pending trial.
