Legendary NFL Owner Hospitalized After Car Crash

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was involved in a minor car accident in Downtown Dallas on Wednesday evening.

Jones, 79, was in a vehicle that got into an accident near the Harry Hines Blvd & Wolf Street intersection shortly after 8 pm on Wednesday, ABC 8 News reported.

It was unclear if Jones himself was driving.

The businessman was transported to Parkland hospital with minor injuries and is believed to be fine, sources told the station.

The team’s executive vice president Stephen Jones – who also happens to be the legendary team owner’s son – told the Dallas Morning News via text message that Jones had returned home and was ‘resting comfortably.’

Jones has been the team president and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys football team for over three decades.

Last month a 25-year-old Texas woman dropped a suit against Jones in which she alleged he is her biological father.
