J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, has once again revealed her anti-transgender bias by tweeting “Merry Terfmas.”

The tweet from the Harry Potter author is a play on the word TERF, which stands for “trans-exclusionary radical feminist.”

She has advocated the opinions of those who are anti-trans and has voiced her own anti-trans sentiments. She’s taken some heat recently for supporting a shelter for victims of sexual assault and rape that turns away trans women.

When trans women visit Beira’s Place, they will be referred to another facility, according to centre officials. This tweet from Rowling was in response to some high appreciation from another user.

But there are also users who are condemning Rowling.

Rowling and others are unhappy with writer Jessie Earl for advising fans to enjoy the Rowling books and other products they currently own while skipping the new Potter video game. Earl claims that she has been the target of death threats.

Both her defenders and detractors note that it has been three years since Rowling made the following tweet.
