RealDealNews has confirmed that Rihanna is expecting her second child. The 34-year-old, who performed at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Phoenix, made her pregnancy announcement by showcasing her baby bump in a bright red outfit.

This marks the first time a pregnant woman has taken the halftime stage.

During her performance, Rihanna emphasized the announcement by rubbing her stomach and letting the zipper of her red jumpsuit and bodysuit reveal her belly.

A representative for Rihanna confirmed the news to PEOPLE on Sunday night. The Grammy award-winning artist and her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, became parents for the first time in May 2022.

He was seen excitedly supporting her on the sidelines during the halftime show, filming her performance and dancing along.

Rihanna first revealed in January 2022 that she was expecting her first child with Rocky, 33. After she was photographed debuting her baby bump in New York City, a source told PEOPLE that Rihanna is “excited to be a mom” and “couldn’t be happier.”

“Everything Rihanna does, she does it her own way on her own time table, and having a baby is no different,” the source said, adding that the couple were over the moon about their baby on the way.

“They’re just like any other pair of parents-to-be. Yes, they happen to be famous, but they’re just the cutest, giddiest young couple that’s expecting kids.”

Rihanna opened her highly-anticipated Supr Bowl performance with “B— Better Have My Money” and also performed her hits “Run This Town” and “Umbrella” on Sunday.

Before welcoming their first child, Rihanna told Elle that, as a fan of The Real Housewives franchise, she thinks her parenting style will be similar to that of Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice.

“Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids. She will flatten you about those kids. And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be,” Rihanna told the outlet. “Psycho about it.”
