In the wake of the tragic death of ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry, 54, a photograph has emerged online, triggering an outrage among Internet users as it shows the beloved actor’s bereaved stepfather Keith Morrison arriving at his residence.

The aerial image captured the aftermath of the unfortunate incident, showing numerous police officers securing the area, and a white tent was set up adjacent to the backyard swimming pool and hot tub.

As night fell, Matthew’s 82-year-old father, John Bennett Perry, was joined by the ‘Friends’ star’s mother, Suzanne Perry, and stepfather, Morrison, who appeared stunned as they arrived at the house.

A coroner’s van was also spotted at the residence while relatives, close companions, and fans struggled to come to terms with the actor’s death.

As per sources, Perry was discovered unresponsive in the jacuzzi, however, no drugs were found at the site, and there was no sign of foul play, according to a report by Daily Mail.

As fans globally grieve the loss of the exceptional actor who breathed life into the cherished character Chandler Bing, a photo of Canadian broadcaster Keith arriving at the late star’s location was posted by Shelby Grad on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

Grad identifies him as the “Deputy Managing Editor at @latimes.”

The media individual’s post depicted a grieving Keith pulling up the police tape as he appeared to be in shock while entering Perry’s home.

He wrote, “Devastating scene outside Matthew Perry’s home tonight. Here is stepfather, broadcaster Keith Morrison, near the scene,” and added a link to the LA Times story.

Soon, there was an uproar among the netizens, with many demanding the removal of the picture that they thought was inappropriate to share after Matthew’s sudden death.

Suzanne Perry, a Canadian journalist, held the position of press secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada. Following her separation from Matthew’s father, John Bennett Perry, she tied the knot with Keith Morrison, a distinguished broadcast journalist and a correspondent for Dateline NBC, in 1981.

In a 2017 interview with Andy Cohen, Morrison stated that he believed Matthew would become famous in the future, but “probably not as an actor,” and said, “He is a very good guy.”

Morrison also talked candidly about his connection with his Matthew in a 2020 PEOPLE Magazine interview, calling him “remarkable.” “He’s an intense, talented, focused character. He’s very bright. That was always the case as he was growing up,” said the journalist, adding, “We love having him around.”

Soon after a photo showing Matthew Perry’s grieving stepfather, Keith Morrison, arriving at the ‘Friends’ star’s house surfaced online, netizens started questioning the necessity of publishing such an image and called for its removal.

One wrote, “This is gross, please take this down,” while another stated, “Shame on you. Remove this post.”

“Not appropriate,” mentioned a person, and someone added, “Damn, dude. Take this down.”

“This is terrible. Rethink this tweet,” noted one, as a netizen sternly expressed, “Leave the family alone.”
