Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking fundraising to a whole new level — and some critics say it might just be their lowest yet. According to RadarOnline.com, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly charging a staggering $100,000 for a dinner with themselves.
The move comes as they try to raise money for their Archewell charity, using the celebrity auction platform CharityBuzz. While the couple seems confident that super-rich donors will pay the massive fee for a few hours in their company, royal insiders and social media users are raising eyebrows.
Royal correspondent Rupert Bell didn’t hold back, saying, “It’s an unseemly amount of money to probably be told a bunch of word salad if they’re giving a speech. But if that’s what they’re getting away with, fair play. It does seem a ridiculous amount of money given their recent PR controversies.”
Online, critics were equally scathing. Many joked about Meghan’s cooking skills, referencing her Netflix lifestyle series. One wrote, “I hope she’s not doing the catering,” while another said, “They’d have to pay me that much to attend.” Others were harsher: “Might as well sell their souls at this point.”
The dinners appear to be offered quietly to a select group of wealthy donors rather than being promoted publicly on their official site, raising questions about the exclusivity — and ethics — of the tactic.
This controversial move comes alongside the couple’s rebranding of their charity as Archewell Philanthropies. While the official line emphasizes broadening global impact, PR expert Mayah Riaz points out that the shift also helps position the charity as more institutional and less tied to the couple personally.
Still, charging six figures for a private meal is unlikely to improve public perception, and many see it as yet another questionable step in the Sussexes’ post-royal ventures. Whether this bold strategy will succeed or just deepen criticism, one thing is clear: Harry and Meghan are continuing to push boundaries — and for some, they may have just hit a new low.

A little decency would not hurt those two…( if they are familiar with this word…)Fundraising??? Really?????Huge disappointment, Harry…..
