The 31-year-old singer shared a mirror selfie on social media revealing bandages across her stomach, chest, and hand, giving fans a thumbs-up despite the injuries. In the caption, Halsey explained that she burned herself with boiling water while using a vocal steamer and joked that she was “falling apart.”
“Burned myself with the burning water in my vocal steamer,” she wrote, adding a playful scorecard-style jab about upcoming travel plans.
A vocal steamer is commonly used by singers to inhale warm mist, which helps soothe inflammation, dryness, and irritation in the vocal cords. Unfortunately, in this case, it led to a painful mishap.
Despite the alarming image, Halsey appeared in good spirits, flashing a half-smile and showing off her newly cropped platinum-blonde hairstyle. Fans were quick to send well-wishes and praise her resilience.
The accident comes shortly after Halsey returned from a romantic getaway to Hawaii with her fiancé, Avan Jogia. The couple confirmed their engagement in 2024 and are planning to marry.
