An NFL quarterback is speaking out after his name surfaced in newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents, insisting he is being unfairly linked to a case he had nothing to do with.

Russell Wilson, the Super Bowl–winning quarterback who led the Seattle Seahawks to a championship in 2014, was mentioned multiple times in a batch of emails made public Friday as part of the ongoing release of Epstein-related records.

Millions of documents tied to the late financier’s sex trafficking network were originally expected to be released in full in December. Instead, the rollout has been delayed, with files now emerging in waves beyond the original deadline set under President Donald Trump’s administration. As more material continues to surface, Wilson unexpectedly found himself drawn into the controversy.

Wilson insists any perceived link to Jeffrey Epstein is purely coincidental. The former Walter Payton Man of the Year addressed the situation directly on X, denying any association with Epstein.

“Some random plane broker tried to sell me a plane. I had no idea whose plane and never bought the plane. Never talked nor never met the man,” Wilson wrote.

According to the documents, Epstein contacted Wilson’s longtime personal pilot, Larry Visokski, about the quarterback potentially purchasing a Gulfstream G-IV private jet. In a January 27, 2019 email, Visokski told Epstein that Wilson had been calling “non-stop” after viewing the aircraft and appeared interested in buying it. The email also noted that Wilson was concerned the purchase could affect his contract negotiations, as he was seeking an extension with the Seahawks at the time.

Additional emails suggest Wilson took photos and videos during a test flight and discussed the possibility of placing a $500,000 deposit, with 90 days to close at a $2.7 million asking price.

Wilson’s publicist later clarified that the quarterback never completed the purchase and was unaware that the aircraft being discussed had any connection to Epstein. Representatives added that Wilson ultimately bought a different plane in 2020 — a 2000 Gulfstream IV registered to the Seattle-based company West2East 330 LLC.
