Shakira took a spill onstage during a live performance this weekend — and turned it into a moment fans loved even more.

The pop icon, 49, slipped while performing her hit “Si Te Vas” during a stop on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in San Salvador, El Salvador. The incident happened in the middle of the show, but Shakira didn’t miss a beat.

Video shared to her Instagram Stories shows the Colombian superstar falling, then immediately popping back up, laughing it off as the crowd erupted in cheers. She reassured fans moments later, joking that there was no need to worry because she’s “made of rubber.”

The show took place at Jorge “El Mágico” González Stadium in the Salvadoran capital, and the fall didn’t slow her down at all. Shakira powered through the rest of the performance like a pro.

This wasn’t the first time she’s handled an onstage tumble with humor. Last May, she slipped during a concert in Montreal on the same tour and later shared footage of the moment online.

“Like I say… nobody escapes falls!” she wrote in French, adding in Spanish, “Nobody is safe from falls!”

Shakira’s world tour continues this month with upcoming stops in Mexico, Jordan, and Abu Dhabi before wrapping up in Saudi Arabia in April. The tour supports her 12th studio album and leans heavily into themes from her highly publicized split from former soccer star Gerard Piqué.

The couple was married for 11 years before separating amid rumors of infidelity, and fans haven’t been shy about choosing sides. At the start of the tour last year, Shakira famously smiled as the crowd chanted an expletive-laced message aimed at Piqué.

Outside of her own performances, Shakira also showed love to fellow Latin superstar Bad Bunny ahead of his Super Bowl appearance. Just hours before he was set to take the stage, she posted a message on Instagram wishing him luck and reminiscing about their first performance together.

“Remembering our first performance together at Super Bowl 2020 and wishing you, Benito, all the best tonight,” she wrote, adding a heart emoji.

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020, with Bad Bunny joining Shakira onstage during the Miami performance.

In a past interview with Variety, Shakira said she’s “so proud” of Bad Bunny and praised him for helping push Spanish-language music into the global spotlight.

“It’s the perfect moment for a performance like this,” she said. “Spanish music has become universal.”
