A viral video capturing a chaotic scene at a San Francisco restaurant has landed one woman in trouble with the law. Authorities have charged Shireen Afkari with public intoxication after she was seen attacking staff at Hazie’s on Hayes Street on Saturday, December 13, Us Weekly reports.

The three-minute TikTok footage begins with Afkari and a man named Christian arguing with restaurant employees. The reason for the dispute is unclear, but the conversation quickly escalates, with shouting and curse words flying. Afkari can then be seen slapping the phone of the person filming.

The situation turned physical when Afkari and Christian got into a scuffle with several Hazie’s employees. In a surprising twist, one female worker lifted Afkari off the ground and slammed her to the floor. Undeterred, Afkari jumped back up and continued attacking staff

Eventually, restaurant workers were able to force Afkari and Christian outside, where other patrons clapped and cheered as the drama spilled onto the sidewalk. Afkari could be seen refusing to release her grip on a worker’s hair and lunging toward the staff member after claiming her phone had been taken. She was tripped and fell face-first on the sidewalk, then shouted at Christian to step in and “be a man.” The video cuts off as the situation continues to escalate.

Police told KTVU they were called around 9:41 p.m. Saturday about a person who had been “escorted” from the restaurant. Officers found Afkari outside Hazie’s and developed probable cause to arrest her for public intoxication. She was transported to County Jail and detained, according to San Francisco Police Officer Robert Rueca.

It remains unclear why Afkari has not been charged with assault, given what the footage appears to show. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing. As of now, Christian is not facing any charges.

  1. From experience, drunken females are a LOT more trouble than males ! Ask any professional bouncer.
