Channing Tatum is giving fans a raw look at a painful setback after revealing he recently underwent surgery for a mysterious shoulder injury.
The actor shared a black-and-white photo from a hospital bed on Instagram, wearing a surgical cap and gown as he framed the moment as yet another test. “Just another day. Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it,” he wrote.
Support poured in almost immediately, including from his girlfriend, Australian model Inka Williams, who cheered him on in the comments with, “Big bad wolf 🤍 we got disss.”
Tatum later offered more insight through a series of Instagram Stories — and the images were not for the faint of heart. One post showed an X-ray of his upper arm and shoulder, revealing two broken bones. “Separated shoulder,” he wrote over the image.
Another slide showed the aftermath of surgery, with a large screw now visibly holding the bones together. “Screwed shoulder. Yay,” he joked, sharing the post-op scan.
The actor didn’t explain exactly how the injury happened, but it didn’t take long for fans to speculate. Tatum is well known for performing many of his own stunts, and he has previously said he was injured while filming Avengers: Doomsday, which is currently slated for release in December 2026.
For now, the star appears focused on recovery — and facing the challenge head-on, one X-ray at a time.
